TOWN BOARD VACANCY:

Seeking applicant for appointment through Dec. 31, 2026. 

Qualifications:

• Live in the Town of Ulysses (includes the Village of Trumansburg)
• At least 18 years of age
• Member of the electorate

• General governance of the town
• Adopts annual budget
• Supports initiatives for the improvement of health, safety, and well-being of the general public  

Meetings: 

• 2^ndand 4^thTuesdays at 7pm for about 2 hours; special meetings as necessary   
• Prep for meetings takes about 1-2 hours

Town of Ulysses Board of Zoning Appeals – alternates (2)
DESCRIPTION: works to ensure fair/equitable zoning regulations; interprets zoning laws, hears and decides zoning appeals, grants variances
TIME COMMITMENT: 1-year term w/$215 stipend; meets 3^rd Wednesday of month

Town of Ulysses Planning Board – member (1), alternates (2)
DESCRIPTION: guides community land use regulation/planning, reviews site plans and permits, conducts public hearings
TIME COMMITMENT: 5-year term (members)/1-year term (alternates) w/$215 stipend; meets 1^st and 3^rd Tuesdays of month

Town of Ulysses Youth Commission – Town representative (1)
DESCRIPTION: advises on recreation/youth services managed by Town in partnership w/Village and Trumansburg Central School District
TIME COMMITMENT: 1-year appointment; meets 1^st Tuesday of month, 7pm
