SPECIAL ELECTION 11am-8pm

A Special Election will be held on 12/6/23 to determine whether the Town should purchase 30 acres for recreation purposes.

SAMPLE BALLOT

Proposition No. 1 .
Shall Resolution No. 125 of 2023, authorizing the purchase of up to 30 acres of property located at 2141 Kraft Road in
the Town of Ulysses, on commercially reasonable terms and conditions at a price of $7,000/acre, and at a maximum
expense to the Town of $210,000, not including appraisal, title search, abstract, survey, and other regular closing costs
and fees, to be paid for through the Town of Ulysses' American Recovery Plan Act allocation, and use of up to $8,500
of a dedicated reserve fund for the purchase of recreational property, be approved?

WHO CAN VOTE:
  • Town residents registered with a Town of Ulysses voting address. Check your registration status here. 
  • Registration days were held on 11/18 and 11/21 for anyone who is not already registered.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS:
You must first submit an application for an absentee ballot:
Tompkins County permanent absentee voters will automatically receive a ballot.
  • Deadline to pick up ballot in person at Town Clerk’s office- by 5pm on Dec. 5, 2023.
  • Town Clerk’s office must receive mailed application by 5pm on Nov. 29. 2023.
Hours for applications/ballot pick-ups & returns at Town Hall, 10 Elm St., Trumansburg NY 14886:        
          Mon. 12/4: 10am-3pm
Tues. 12/5: 10am-5pm (deadline to apply for a ballot (ballot must be returned in person))
Wed.. 12/6: (Election Day) 10am-5pm

The absentee ballot itself must be returned to the Town Clerk’s Office by 5pm on Dec. 6, 2023 to be counted.
